During the walk through, I noticed several wires within reach of the children. A blind in the classroom has sharp points that could hurt the children. The classroom sink was accessible to the children, and cleaning supplies were stored inside. A storage room door could not close and was accessible to the children. Outdoor fences have 2 broken pieces of wood that need to be repaired to ensure they are inaccessible to the children.
Based on the investigation findings, this standard was reviewed and found to be in non-compliance with The Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers. The caregiver hit a child hand with their own hand on two occasions. The caregiver was terminated immediately.

Upon arrival I observed the two year old class has 13 children with one caregiver. This was fixed during inspection by adding another caregiver to the room. I also observed a caregiver left the two year old room to go prepare lunch. Which left one caregiver with 15 children in the room. They're 4 children over child/staff ratio.
It was observed that there are 23 children in care during inspection. They are 6 children over the capacity.
It was observed a caregiver with provisional eligible with conditions alone with children. She was observed in a four year old class by herself. She also observed in the two year old class by herself when the other caregiver takes children to the restroom. She's also by herself when she took children to the restroom.
Proof of current liability insurance was not available for review at inspection. Liability insurance expired on 3/04/2024.
